February #2 – International correspondence Letter Writing Month

Standard

More Letters for my Every day commitment. I’m finding it a challenge to think of someone every day but I’m still keeping up! I thought it might be more interesting to tell you who I sent to and why.

#6 Josephine in the Netherlands because she hasn’t been well & #7 Chloe a friend for just being lovely.

#8 Dennis & Pat (church friends) for just being lovely.

#9 Emily my cousins daughter at Uni, for encouragement & #10 My Auntie Glenda, just to say hello.

#11 Heather a friend locally who has been extremely poorly recently.

#12 Jeanne in the UK, the minister at our first church after we were married because of happy memories.

#13 Lisa who lives local, a friend who has ME, to make her smile, as I took this photo from the top of the church tower and the arrow points to where my house is!

And #14 Sarah, someone new in the US who is doing the same letter writing challenge as me.

I’m half way through the challenge now so keep watching πŸ™‚

February – International Correspondence Letter Writing Month

Standard

As it says in my header, February is ‘International Correspondence Letter Writing Month’. To take part in this you commit to sending a letter, card or note to someone every day during the month. It’s not as expensive as it sounds, you can write local and hand deliver if you want. What a lovely challenge. I’m doing good so far!

1st & 2nd Feb.

Christmas Surprise

Standard

Here’s another thing I got through the post for Christmas, from my friend Susanne in Germany. This beautifully decorated story box with Christmas goodies inside.

The story was written on the outside and as I opened the box it continued on the inside.

What a charming thing to receive by mail, hard to photograph, but I did my best πŸ™‚ Thanks Susanne!

Mail Friends Are nice & fun

Standard

I regularly go to our local collectors market which is held once a week here in Fakenham. Last week I found this vintage stamp.

It had loose letters spelling this.

I decided I wanted to make an anagram andΒ use all the letters and spell something to do with my mail. I managed to use all but about four and came up with this! πŸ™‚
