Outgoing mail

Standard

It’s a pleasure to be able to slow down and take a thought for family you don’t see often and also write some letters.

Birthday cards made today for a lovely Auntie and Uncle

and letters to InCoWriMo friends

Unusual and Gorgeous mail

Standard

I had two lovely things put in my mailbox recently.

These beautiful wings from a sadly diseased bird, which I’ve been given to use for an art project

and this beautiful handmade wedding invitation.

I haven’t been invited to a wedding for a for ages, so what to wear 🙂

Latest InCoWriMo Letters

Standard

I have managed to write and send 19 letters out of 28 so far for ‘International Correspondence Letter Writing Month‘ (and also a few postcards for ‘Postcrossing‘). Countries I’ve sent to include UK, USA, India, Canada, Iceland and Belarus, 🙂 So I’m happy with what I’ve achieved. I have received 5 letters so far and still have some letters to reply to.

I have really enjoyed taking part this year, it is a joy to send blessings through the post, mostly to people I don’t know!

International Correspondence Letter Writing Month

Standard

I’m doing InCoWriMo again this year, and attempting to write a card or a letter every day of the month. I’ve started well. All in the UK so far but I have letters for further afield planned 🙂

First I wrote to Jan in Norfolk with her birthday card and Jeanne in Hertfordshire,

also to my friend Pat in Northants.

I received a my first letter from Emily in Sussex, such a lovely letter which included this beautiful handmade card and I wrote straight back.

The latest are to Jane in Norfolk and Natalie in Kent, both were on the InCoWriMo list.

It is difficult sometimes writing to strangers, but it becomes easier the more you do it 🙂
