Stitched Textile Postcards

Standard

These are some textile cards I sent out recently, I made them using stitching and stamping on painted fabric.

I sent out two to Postcrossers, Jamie in USA and Richarda in Germany, both said they enjoyed recieving handmade cards.

I sent another to a penfriend in Netherlands

and included one in an art swap to my friend Nancy in America.

They all seem to have gone down quite well, so I think I’m going to make some more! 🙂

New storage system

Standard

Over the holidays I decided I wanted to sort my Postcrossing cards into countries and also make a bigger box for them.

postcrossing-box-1

I re-used a shoe box that had already been re-used once to wrap one of my Christmas presents.

postcrossing-box-2

I made dividers from coloured card and labeled them with the postcrossing codes for each country.

Here’s my finished box with plenty of room to add more cards 🙂

I don’t normally have time for such projects, so really enjoyed doing it!
