Today’s Mail

Wow, I come back from my socially distanced shopping and this is what was in my mail box! I haven’t had so much mail in one day before, apart from maybe on my birthday. Three from IHanna DIY postcard swap 2020, one from a mail art group I belong to and one letter. Thanks everyone for my happy mail day πŸ™‚

Sending Out Mail Art

I’ve just sent out my first lot of mail art this year.

This is a postcard I sent locally to my friends Emma and Martin as a little surprise.

These postcards were in response to the last Ihanna postcard swap I did for people who put their addresses on the postcards they sent to me, thanks Theresa, Libby and Gloria in USA and also to Melita in Germany.

This card is to Andrew in Cheltenham, England who I met on our road trip in November. He wanted to know what mail art was, so as it’s the first day of this years ‘International Correspondence Letter Writing Month’, I’ve sent my first days mail to him.

A good start to February I think! πŸ™‚

Happy Mail Day

The postman arrived early this morning and bought very happy mail. A lovely letter from Nancy in Iowa USA and some washi tape I ordered from Sweet Supplies Store on Etsy (from Japan) . I love buying from there because she’s very efficient and packages so beautifully!

I can’t wait to use my washi tape πŸ™‚

Lovely Mail

I have received a little bit extra from my postcrossings this week. Nadia from Russia sent me these lovely stamps along with her card and also obviously I got the stamps on the envelope. πŸ™‚

Then I got this lovely first day cover from Sutan in Indonesia along with her card and an information leaflet telling me about the stamp as well.

Very happy πŸ™‚

New Year Postcrossings

I’m excited to start my Postcrossings for 2020. I don’t know who I’m going to meet or what countries I’m going to send to or receive from. I’ve been a member of this project for Nine years and have sent 637 postcards around the planet and I’ve also received 637 postcards. That is totally spectacular, who’d have thought it possible. πŸ™‚

My first postcards for this new year are to

Chen in Taiwan, Irina in Russia,

Cynthia in China,Β  Melanie in Germany

Mazli in Malaysia and Alena in Slovakia

Six different countries straight away, a very good start!

New Year Mail

Happy Mailing New Year to all of you who love making and receiving mail. I’m Excited to be starting a new year of making mail and to come up with some new Ideas and new ways I can cheer people up with mail. I’m also looking forward to making new faux postage stamps as well.

I have a new friend who lives in Norway who is not very well, so sending a nice letter is the least I can do.

Is there anyone you could cheer up with a letter or postcard? πŸ™‚
